Hi. Welcome to my blog.
I am currently a Head of Division at the Icelandic Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, focusing on digital transformation.
Previously, I worked with startups and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Iceland through my position as Corporate Entrepreneur at Arion Bank from 2010-2019. Together with Icelandic Startups, we ran Iceland’s #1 accelerator, Startup Reykjavik in addition to assisting entrepreneurs raising capital. I currently work as an independent advisor on strategy, business development, digitization and innovation. Feel free to reach out by sending me an email if you’d like to know more.
At Arion Bank internally, I primarily worked with internal innovation, such as business development besides my work with the Icelandic startup community.
I am also a founder of three companies in Iceland and Sweden, the last one in financial advisory, ScandCap AB. I hold a B.S. degree in biology from University of Iceland and an MBA degree from Stockholm School of Economics.
I am married and have three boys. I am an avid runner with interest in too many things. Trying to understand stuff in our great world is challenging since more and better knowledge sheds light on the simple fact how little we know.
My professional delight is building stuff in every aspect. My personal ones are my family and running.
Hope you enjoy my simple thoughts.
