Kaptio, whose team participated in Startup Reykjavik 2012, has secured 325 ISKM (2.6 USDM) from Frumtak and Capital A Partners. Frumtak and Capital A Partners are new investors, but NSA Ventures and Kaskur, previous investors, also participate in the round. Arion Bank, through Startup Reykjavik Invest, is still a shareholder in Kaptio.
The financing is intended to strengthen product development and sales of the produc Kaptio Travel for the UK market in addition to prepare for further growth in other international markets. Kaptio has a sales office in London while product development is operated in Germany and Belarus.
Kaptio Travel is Kaptio key product. It aids travel agents and tour operators more efficiently managing offers and bookings of clients than before in addition to structure all communication with resellers and suppliers. Kaptio Travel is an add-on feature to Salesforce, one of the most renowned CRM platforms globally.
Kaptio was founded in 2009 by Arnar Laufdal Ólafsson and Ragnar Fjölnisson. The company’s headquarters are in Kopavogur, Iceland in the greater Reykjavik area. Kaptio employs 16 people.
